Ginny glanced up from the food, taking time to soak up the image of the disastrous kitchen. It was covered in powdered sugar, flower, batter, and all types of liquid she wouldn’t be able to name at this point. She was a wreck. Batter stuck to her hair topped with icing, her clothes were dinged with the powders and dripped with the liquid mixture. Not like it mattered much, she had just stuck on some old clothes. It had been a while since she had to make a cake. Usually the little hybrid just made cookies or cupcake, never a cake. The smell of baking cake overcome her taste buds and send them to ultimate heaven. Ginny adored sweet things. She smiled and shook her head at the sight; it would have been hilarious for any onlooker. By now the scent of baking cake had lingered off slightly as it was now cooled and being iced. After she finished with the vanilla ice cream she left it sitting on the middle of the table to finish setting.
With a soft sigh she sent her adoptive sister, Bree Tanner, a text message. "Hey Bree! Would you like to paint with me? I figure we could do something together. And I promise if you start feeling uncomfortable I'll teleport away. (: " She knew Bree had a bit of a hard time around her at time because of the blood running through her veins. She was always very careful around the new vampire also always did her best to try and make her feel at home. Esme and Carlisle did a great job at the alone, however, it's always nice to be nice. Plus, she didn't have a problem with her. She may be moody at times but that's do to her past and all newborns have a hard time with their emotions. It was nothing compared to Rosalie though.
With a soft smile she teleported to her room and changed her messy clothes. Then put her hair up in a pony tail so paint wouldn't be added to the batter. If anything, Bree could be amused at her hair. Ginny imagines she will be annoyed by the stench and oder of human food though. The paint brushes, paints, the plain canvas was already set up in her room because she had decided on painting earlier today. She opened her bedroom door for Bree to come in so she wouldn't have to knock, that is, if she wanted to paint or hang out with her. Waiting on her or a text from her, she sat on her bed.

Bree jumped when her cell vibrated in her pocket, she sighed when she realized that it was just her phone, she took it out of her pocket and read the message "Hey Bree! Would you like to paint with me? I figure we could do something together. And I promise if you start feeling uncomfortable I'll teleport away. (:" she read aloud to her self and then smiled, Ginny was practicly the only person she liked here... she liked Carlise and Esme and Edward and Emmett of course, but she didn't HANG OUT with them or anything. She pressed the buttons on her phone "Sure, I'd love to"
Bree got up from her bed-couch thing and set her book on her side table, then went to her door, opening it slightly then looking out the crack, just to make sure Jasper wasn't there, he ws really starting to get on her nerves with all the questions. She opened her door completely and walked over to Ginny's room, getting ready to knock on the wood, only to find it was already opened, she walked in. When she looked around, as usual, everything was already set up and stuff. Then, her eyes settled on Ginny.
When she saw Ginny's hair, she laughed out loud "My God, Ginny! What did you DO? Roll in a cloud?" she asked. Laughing felt wierd in Bree's throat. She never laughed much, and when she did, it was usually just a small chuckle. She shook her head, humans were so amusing. So much, it was almost interesting what goes through their brains. Sometimes it was almost so amusing she wondered if they even HAD brains. Bree stayed a little ways away from Ginny, her throat burned and it had been a while since she last went hunting, and, thanks to Jasper's long speaches about thirst, she didn't completely trust herself.

Ginny gave a soft smile at the text message. She sat the phone on her end table and gave Bree a smile when she entered her bedroom. When she started laughing she couldn't help but chuckle. The half-vampire loved to hear others laugh. It gave her a happy feeling. And she knew Bree didn't laugh very often so it was almost a relief when she did. "My God, Ginny! What did you DO? Roll in a cloud?" A rather large smile approached her face as she stood up and walked over to the two canvases. "I made a cake for the first time." She laughed. "I got a little carried away with it. I'll be sure to clean up my mess before Esme gets back. I don't think she'll like all the flour everywhere."
Shaking her head at herself she picked up the wooden piece that had a place for her thumb to go through. The top of it was very colorful from all the times she's used it to paint with in the past. "I set up two in case you wanted to paint your own." She turned to Bree. "What are you going to paint? I have hundreds of colors so you won't run out of anything." Ginny was a little bit of a hoarder when it came to art supplies. She even had to have Esme and Carlisle make her a second closest just for all her stuff. It wasn't just paint she loved it was anything to do with art. Pastels, chalks, photography, drawing, and even down to coloring books. Even though she is about fifty years old she can still have fun with some crayons and a coloring book. She loved the feeling of being young and coloring often gave her that. Made her feel completely human instead of just half-human.
"I think I'll....paint Esme! I've given Carlisle his and Rosalies hers too. I think I'll do Esme this time." She turned to her canvas with a smile. The many paint colors where sitting on a table in the middle of the two canvases that had three different areas where the paints were sitting. It also spun so she didn't have to do circles around it when she needed a new color.

Bree frowned "I suck at drawing people" she mumbled, but walked over to the canvase anyway "mine look like donkeys on two feet" still, she picked up a brush "I think I'll do.... Rose." she said aloud "nah... mabey.. oh, I'm just going to paint something!" she dipped her brush in the red paint and painted a small pettle that turned out looking like a foot "dang it" she tried drawing another pettle, but to her it just looked like another blob. How did people have the pactience for this? It was annoying when you couldn't get anything right.
Bree turned to look at Ginny again "how bad is it?" she sighed, her paintings always stinked. She never was in this bad a mood about it, mabey the thirst was getting to her, either way, her paintings still stinked. Both ways too: The paint reaked and the drawing on the canvase sucked. She might as well have just taken a piece of paper and let a toddler scribble on it. That would have been more like art then what she was doing. A cat drinking milk was more entertaining to watch then pianting was fasinating to Bree. But this was the only way she could talk to someone that didn't want to know her whole life.
Bree sighed, what happened to just sitting in her room reading all day? When did this become one of her daily things? "since I started letting my walls fall down and actually become interested in these people, I guess" Bree thought to herself. At least she had her mind for a privet spot.... well, when she wasn't around Edward at least. That was one of the downsides to being here: you never had your emotions to yourself. You never had your thoughts to yourself, and sometimes, with Ginny teleporting about, you never even had privacy.

"mine look like donkeys on two feet" Ginny gave a light giggle. Bree always had a sense of humor even if she didn't see it. Then again, Ginny finds the littlest of things amusing. With a soft smile she begin working on Esme. It was sometimes hard to paint vampires considering how good looking they all are. In humans eyes, Cold Ones look perfect. She also worked a little backwards in her art. Portraits are supposed to start at the face and then the hair, however, she starts on the hair and then the face. It was a lot easier for her. The browns she's picked for her adoptive mothers hair were the perfect colors. When she blended them together it was only a little bit off from her real color. Ginny was satisfied with it.
"how bad is it?" She looked over and gave a small laugh. It wasn't a laugh to be rude. It was more of an amused laugh. "You're doing fine." She said honestly. It looked as if Bree was trying to draw petals and they weren't nearly as bad as she thought they were. "All you have to do is shape them some." She told her picking up a new paint brush. She dripped it in the red Bree had been using and shape one of the petals into what looked like a Rose petal. Luckily for the vampire, she had a photographic memory. If she were human it might take her longer to catch on. Ginny didn't think Bree would have much trouble. "And if you want you can blend your reds to make a different shade." Smiling, she sat the brush aside and finished the lock of hair on Esme.
"I'll give you an artists secret." She started making Esmes hair longer. "Don't think about it. Just let it....brush it's onto the page."

Bree sighed and took the brush, she dipped it in the red paint again, and started on another pettle- scratch that. Another BLOB. She groaned and looked at Ginny "this just isn't my thing!" she complained "I'm a writer and reader. Not a painter." she dipped her brush into the red, yet AGAIN and put it up to the canvase, she tried to do what Ginny told her to do: let the brush work it self. And it ended up a BIGGER blob when she looked. She frowned "see" she said "I suck." she bit her lip and then tried AGAIN. This time, she lost grip of the brush and it flung at the Canvase, causing a splatter, she smirked and picked up her brush
"I've GOT it!" she smirked as she dipped the brush into a purple clor, then splattered that at the canvase, she grinned "I did it!" and started trying different colors, when she thought she was finished, she backed up from her canvase and took her "master piece" in. Well, it was better then what she usually did. And it was better then a toddler's scribble. So it must have been pretty horrible. "How does it look?" she asked Ginny, this time smiling. "is it okay? I mean, it's better then a donkey on two legs"
she tilted her head, thinking several different things: Did she cause to much of a mess over this painting? Was it worth it? How crappy was it? Was it REALLY better then a donkey on two legs? What would Esme think of the mess? Was she going to be in trouble with Jasper, when he most liekly sees this and thinks she had a fit of thirst and got angry? "Who cares?" Bree thought to herself "well. Aparantly me."

Ginny continued painting Esmes hair as she listened to Bree complain. She didn't say anything, not even when her sister flung the paint everywhere. Instead, she looked over chuckling. "I've GOT it!" She watched silently as Bree started splatter painting. It was making a mess but she let her work on it. That's what she had asked Bree to come do after all, paint, and she didn't want to take the fun away. Ginny finished up the hair and began working on her face. She choose a very light color for her skin and a beautiful goldish-brown for the eyes.
"is it okay? I mean, it's better then a donkey on two legs" She lowered her paint brush from her work to look at Brees. "Wonderful splatter work." She laughed taking a good look at it and her bedroom floor. "The carpet needed some color too." She joked giggling. She wasn't at all mad about her floor. It wouldn't be hard at all to clean up and it wasn't going to stain. She didn't even want to count the times she spilled paint on her carpet on accident, so it wasn't a big deal.
"It's good. Would you like to do something else now? I can finish Esmes portrait later." She sat the paint brush down and looked around her room. She wasn't sure what they could do but wouldn't mind doing something of Brees choice. Sighing, she stepped back and look at what she had been working on. Esme was starting to come together now that her hair and half her face was finished up. All she needed to do was finish the other half and paint her a shirt. A necklace around her neck would definitely make it perfect. "We need to clean up before we do something else though." She laughed trying to think where Esme had her cleaning supplies last.

Bree laughed another unfarmiliar laugh "I guess so" she said, then turned to look at the painting Ginny was working on "wow..... your painting makes my painting look.... ick..." she stared at the work of art, wondering how Ginny made such a beautiful thing, how she used that cursed paint brush, and how she had the patience to do it... when she heard Ginny's comment about the carpet, she looked down at it and bit her lip "oops... sorry about that..."
Bree looked down and fidgeted a bit before looking up at Ginny again "Nah, it's alright, you can finish the painting... I need to hunt anyway" she made a face, she hated this new "diet" the only thing she liked about it was that it was saving lives... but not the lives of the poor animals she attacked. she gave Ginny a weak smile before heading towards the bathroom, opening a cuboard, grabbing two damp clothes and coming back over to give one to Ginny.
"I really am sorry. Should've thought before I did that... I think my thirst is getting to me." she grimaced "That was stupid of me" she got down on her knees and started scrubbing the carpet, the paint was all but faintly coming out "dang it." Bree muttered under her breath "stupid paint." she looked back up at Ginny "I told you I'm no good at painting." she laughed slightly and went back to scrubbing.
Her painting didn't even look that good. She ruined Ginny's carpet for nothing. Wow, that was bad. Maybe Jasper was right, newborns do act before they think. Like children. No wonder they called them newborns, they sure acted like them. Bree scoffed and shook her head. She must have been going crazy to believe Jasper, just because he had "experiance" with newborns, didn't mean he knew everything about them.

She only giggled at Bree's comment on both their painting. She was very wrong about her own painting though. Even though splatter painting was easy hers looked great. Some splatter paintings she had seen before looked like mud from the mix of so many colors. Brees' however looked colorful like a melted rainbow. The colors that did mix up only made a different color. Nothing like the mud she has seen before. She watch her sister walk off the grab something to clean with. While she was gone she grabbed some cleaner from her closet specially made for accidents like this one.
Ginny moved the paintings and the little table out of the way so they could clean up the mess. She took the wash rag that was handed to her and got to work on cleaning. "dang it." She smiled lightly. "You should relax a little. The more you let things get to you the less you see the good moments." Ginny spoke with a soft voice of experience. She never worried about much and never dwelled long on the bad things, even if the were really bad. "Here, this stuff is like magic." She grinned spraying down every place the paint had landed then set it aside. "If you need to use more go for it." She told Bree giving her permission to use her cleaner.
She was quiet for a moment while she scrubbed the paint from her bedroom floor. "You know, your painting isn't bad. It's very good. Your colors aren't clashing and they didn't mix to make a terrible colors. I think Esme would love for you to sign it and give it too her." She smiled softly moving her self to another area to clean up. "There's no need to be sorry. You were just having fun when you started slinging." She laughed lightly then paused a moment. Bree always seemed to have so much on her mind, but who wouldn't if there was the chance the Volturi could come kill her at any time. Added in the tough past of her, being forced into and made for a newborn army.
"If you have something on your mind I'm always here to talk too. I know I've said this before but I just want to bond with my sister. I don't know if you consider me family but I like to think of you as family. Same with Jasper as my brother. " She nodded looking at her. "You should probably go hunt soon too. I'll go with you if you'd like. If not, you know where to find me." If she wasn't going to hunt she would stay in her room to finish up the Esme painting.
