Jacob was at home doing nothing. The pack wasn't meeting up today, well at least not until later on tonight anyway. Jake knew he should be in school but he had given up on that a long time ago. Seth, Leah, Quil and Embry were all at school though. Sam was with Emily. Jared and Paul were no doubt together somewhere as well. Jake let out a sigh of frustration. Billy had gone fishing once again. Walking around his small house Jake sat down to see if there was anything on the TV. Of course there never was and it was often that the TV broke all the time. He flipped through channels and left on a nature program. He sat there staring at the TV but of course never really taking anything in. He missed Bella.

Moving into the kitchen he found a bag of crisps. Picking them up he stood against the kitchen counter eating them one by one. Of course he wasn't actually hungry, he was eating because he was bored. He had the urge to get onto his motorcycle and go into Forks and see Bella. She would of course scold him and tell him to get his butt back to school, not that he would listen. He sighed, it really wasn't worth making the trip in the first place. Instead he continued to finish off the packet of chips and stare off into space. He was thinking about all the good times he had had with Bella and his friends, it didn't happen often because there was normally something that was happening, not this time though. Now life was just getting pretty boring. He thought about Ginny Cullen. She was something he needed to talk to Sam about, who knew there were half breeds?

Getting bored of just standing there he wrote a note to his father in case he was home before Jake. He set off out of the house not bothering to lock it. No one would be stupid enough to steal anything from here. Jake set off around the back of his house across the little wooden plank and then out into the forest behind his house. The band was always attached to his leg, which was helpful. He tore off across the little clearing and made sure he was fully out of sight before stopping and taking off his clothes. He just wanted somewhere to run and not look back. Jake tied his clothes around his ankle and then phased. It didn't even burn anymore before be phased and he didn't see red. He was also better at controlling it than he had ever been before. It was the way it should be.

As Jake ran he didn't know where he was headed. Then he did. The cliffs. It was secluded and hardly anyone ever went there. No humans did normally anyway. As he ran he could feel the earth beneath his feet and smiled slightly. It was one of the greatest feelings. He ran and ran and then finally saw the break in the trees. He ran towards it and slowed down. He phased back and pulled on his jeans. He hadn't bothered to bring a top. Breathing in the fresh air he sat down with his legs dangling over the edge. He loved the smell of the sea beneath him. The wind was a little strong today but he didn't even feel it. That wasn't something he missed. Being cold wasn't anything good to him and it was rare that it even happened.

Blaise positioned herself up in a tree top nearest the cliffs. She stared out at the water... the sea... the horizon... that's when Jacob ran in and sat near the edge of the cliffs, Blaise smirked and thought "I wonder if he get's scared easily... well, let's find out." she cupped her hands around her mouth but then thought better of it, instead she just said the sentance she had so evily thought of in her head just to scare Jacob, "Beautiful, isn't it?" she held in a laugh, just trying to make sure she sounded serious, but, of course everyone here knew she was almost never serious. She ended up giving up and laughing a bit

"wow. That sounded WAY better in my head." she muttered as she jumped down from the tree and walked over to Jacob, she was a little wary of hights, she wasn't scared of them, it just made her feel sick when she looked down, like someomne was spinning her and spinning her and then making her look down a home-made pit that was about 2 feet deep but would look 20 feet if you were spinned before you looked down, then, when you kept looking down and didn't look up, you threw up.

"so... what's up Jake?" she was already tired of talking, she hadn't even heard her own vioce in... what was it? Two days? What did it matter, the fact was, Blaise was almost anti-social and she preffered it that way. The only ones that could usually get her to talk was Jacob, Leah and Seth, though she isn't very fond of Leah. She used to ramble on about things, but that was before she first phased and got a sucker punch from an actual sucker -a Vampire.- Which broke her nose.

Running through the forest was the easiest thing for Jake to do. So natural now. He loved the smell of it. Especially the pine trees. Of course no one else knew that. Well except who ever was in wolf form right then. Sitting on the edge of the cliffs made everything easier once again. It was time to clear his head. He needed to sort through he Ginny and Bella situation. His love for Bella would never go away, that much he did know. He loved her now and forever more. It was crazy to think that anyone could ever replace her. Jake thought about her small blush, the way she pushed her hand through her hair all the time. How smart she really was. The weird books she loved to read. All of it made her Bella and he wouldn't want to change a single one of those things. The only thing he would change is her love for Edward. Surely she could see he was the better choice for her?

Then there was Ginny. She was definitely something new and different. She was part human and that part really shone in her. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair in frustration. He really liked Ginny. The thought when she was dead in Port Angeles scared the hell outta him. But why?! He gave up and just cleared his mind. That was the best thing he could do. The wind blew and he caught someone's scent behind him. Didn't they know he could smell them a mile away. He decided to let it go and just waited to see if they would actually speak to him. It was a wolf so that was comforting. Then he heard Blaise's voice saying how beautiful the view was. She jumped down and then burst into laughter. He looked at her like she was a crazy person, she sure acted like one sometimes.

Blaise explained it sounded better in her head. "Oh I get it. You were going to try and scare me. Good job you didn't because you would have been over the edge of the cliff in the water" He said it with a smile on his face. Of course he wouldn't of, well maybe he would of anyway. She sat down next to him but seemed to be slightly wary of the edge. Typical girls. As if he would let her fall, let along her own awesome reflexes. He ignored it though, he knew she preferred to be on her own. She asked what was up. "Nothing really. Girls really. What about you? Where have you been these last two days?" He asked. He realised he hadn't actually seen her for a little while. This girl he treated like his little sister, she was sweet when she wanted to be. But also a lot like him.

Blaise scoffed "Thanks. That's EXACTLY what I wanted to hear." she said sarcastly, bringing up legs up aqnd rapping her arms around them, resting her chin on her knees "You've just made me more wary of the cliffs AND you." she shook her head at her warryness. It was stupid, honestly. What type of person fought VAMPIRES but was afraid of hieghts? A Blaise. That what she was. Not a wolf, not a person, not a vampire. A BLAISE. When you put sarcasm, shyness, books, wolves, anger, people, hate of vampires, funny and crazy together you got a Blaise.

Blaise laughed and looked at Jacob "Nothing much. My mom has been having a spaz lately about the move... And we got here two years ago. I'll never understand adults." she closed her eyes tightly and opened them, she wanted to look down at the water. Knowing you shouldn't do something for your own good just tempted Blaise more, she put her face lower into her knees, so the her eyes were pretty much on them and she couldn't really see down. Blaise sighed and tried thinking about something else... her past years in Makah kept popping into her head. 'Don't think about that!' she would scold and mentally kick herself

Looking at Blaise, Jake couldn't help but laugh. Here she was, although the youngest wolf here but she was scared of heights. What on earth was going on here. He tried to hold back his laughter but he couldn't help it. He knew she wouldn't be offended by it because he was only messing around with her. It was still funny. He shook his head at her. "You know, with this awesomeness that comes with being a wolf, balance happens to be one of them. Your not going to fall off if you didn't want to. It would be pretty hard to catch any of us off balance." He said it smiling at her and encouragingly. He really did like Blaise, there was something about her that made him feel protective over here. Maybe because she was such a young member of the pack. Who knew?

Jake happened to nod in agreement as to what she said. Adults were confusing at best of the times. He was lucky to have his dad. Billy was the only person he knew that could handle anything, he was one brave cookie. "so with you on that one. What is it about being organized and having a clean room. As if anyone else cares" He shook his head again but smiled at her none the less. She really was a cute kid. Blaise looked as though she just went into some deep thinking. Jake left her to it. He hated when he was interrupted so no doubt she did as well. Jake thought about Ginny, she was another of the cutest people he had ever met. Not to mention hilarious. She was just someone who had an attitude and that wasn't something he was used to in humans. Well half humans.

"Oh... Yeah... That's right..." Blaise was confused for a second, but then remembered. It was hard for her at times to process that she was a shape-shifter, and even just thinking about it confused her a bit. She sometimes forgot that she even was one, though she had been one for two years now. She didn't loosen her grip on her legs, but she did relax a litte and looked over at Jacob "How do you guys deal with... this?" she asked, Jacob had been like her for about the same amount of time, yet he seemed to deal with it better, sure she kept her anger down better then him, but he seemed to handle it better then she did.

"Really though. I've got it even harsher,." she sighed "I mean, on top of patrols and all that junk, my mom expects me to get up early in the morning, do the dishes from the night before, pack my lunch and head off to school. I don't get why I still have to go to school. Everyone else doesn't." she kicked a rock and it flew off the edge of the cliff, plumeting down to a watery death.

Jacob watched as Blaine realised that no matter what she was still a shape shifter. Werewolves did have the balance. She seemed to struggle with what she was a lot more than most people. It was strange. Jake had gotten used to it, he didn't always like it but it meant that he could keep those around him safe then it didn't really bother him all too much. It was nice to have others around him that were going through the same thing. Blaine probably thought that as well, who wouldn't? Jake couldn't help but chuckle at her being so frustrated at what she was. Jake shook his head. "Don't worry I was just like you. You get used to it. If anything it's kind of cool now" He said with a small smile. The perks to being a wolf was good so he wasn't really one to complain

Blaise carried on and he laughed at her truelly when she said she still had to go to school. Of course her mom didn't actually know what she was so it got a little difficult. Jacob considered asking Sam if they could talk to Blaise's mom and explain what was really happening. He doubted it though. "Heck I'd rather be at school. I have to patrol most days. Anyway Seth has to go to school as well and I do show up sometimes. when I'm not too tired. Trust me, your going to want to stay in school" He said it with a smile and tried to be genuinely encouraging. The younger ones shouldn't miss out on their education simply because of what they were. He looked over at Blaine and knew she was pretty upset. He put an arm around her and noogied her head. [colo=7f5c61]"You'll get over it trust me" He said it smiling.
