Personality
Stubborn - Cas is an extremely headstrong soul when he seriously believes in something. If one tries to move him from his position on a subject, they are fighting an uphill battle.

Charming - In a lot of ways, Jae is very charming. So much so that he tends to get what he wants when he wants it because he can be so persuasive in his mannerisms.

Manipulative - Manipulate people by using his own words to ensnare them. He has a certain shrewdness that comes through in his way of thinking if he wants something that proves difficult to grasp.

Cold - For a vampire even, Cas is a very cold man. He rarely lets people into his inner circle and is constantly guarded. In many cases, he is seen with either an indifferent or icy expression that obviously allows people to know that they are not welcome.

Sarcastic - His sense of humor tends to get him into quite a bit of trouble. With his dry sense of humor, he can end up in the midst of some of the worst situations. He also can be a tease if he so chooses. For the most part, Cas just does not take much seriously.

Blunt - Extremely straight forward. It is very possible he could be one of the most frank people any one person could ever hope to meet. This also tends to put him in the middle of everything.

Bravery/Cowardice - Due to his self preservation, he has problems making himself vulnerable. However, someone he seriously cares about happens to be in the mix he goes all out and puts himself in harms way no matter how stupid it is.

Idiotic - As smart as Cas can be, in countless happenings he has acted, well stupidly. His emotions, stubbornness, and primal instincts tend to get the better of him.

History

Castiel's parents weren't exactly thrilled when they had a baby. His siblings took care of him while his parents worked to make ends meet. Castiel was always put last before anyone else in the family. As he grew into a little boy he realized that his parents had no interest in him. They didn't really care for him and were just taking care of him to be the good parents that they said they were. But everyone knew they were workaholics. So, really it wasn't Castiel's fault for being a loner in the family. He tried to make them proud of him, getting great grades in school but that never seemed to catch their attention either. So, one day he decided to not give a crap about anything or anyone.

As he got older in his childhood, he started to resent his parents. He only had his other siblings to talk to that cared. He got a job at a young age and started playing piano. He wanted to make something of himself because maybe just maybe his folks would be somewhat proud of his accomplishments. He was never a star in their eyes and that was what really hurt him. He started acting out and getting into trouble with the law and at school. He finished high school but it was just luck that he had made it through with graduating. He got arrested a lot and put in jail a few times. Which his siblings would always bail him out. Castiel knew that this wasn't the path to go on to make something out of himself.

His parents still never came around or called him to see how he was doing. He's been searching for something to make his life really worth living. Because what is a life if you aren't living it to its fullest? After moving to Forks, the blind man did find what he was looking for. He found love within Meela Naule. Unfortunately, he also found trouble and accidental discovered about vampires. Since he figure out Meela was a vampire, he had two choices: become a vampire or be killed. He decided to become a vampire to remain forever with his lover.

His first few decades of living immortal were wonderful up until his wife slipped and made an immortal child. Although she didn't mean to the Volturi took charge and killed the child and his wife. He became devistated and lost all trust he had in the Volturi. Cas didn't have much to begin with but by this time he despised them. So much hate ran through his system that he had to do something. He wanted so badly to kill that blonde vampire, Jane and her brother. He wanted to hurt all of them that had hurt him. However, he knew he couldn't.

A month after her death he met with a vampire that had just as much, if not more, hate for them. He had been planning to make the Volturis life hard but he wasn't sure how without getting caught. And that's when Cas's power finally came useful. He took the scents away from all the Coven members when he joined them and keeps a good control. He doesn't always hid the scents of his Coven brother, only when they break the vampire rules. Once they've done the job and back into 'hiding' he stops masking their scents.
