Friends Forever {Feb.} (Kenny)

[LOGAN WHITE]

Logan skipped down the road towards the park. She has been in school for about a month now. It was February and her birthday was next month. Her birthday would be her sixteenth. At the orphanage that meant she would be allowed to go out on her own to more than just the park. She loved the park but it would be nice to go elsewhere; maybe get a job. Grinning at the thoughts running through her head Logan spotted the park up ahead.

She has been coming to the park everyday afterschool since she had started. It was within that first week she had met Kenny. Kenny was a vampire. Paul had told her to be careful around vampires but Logan was pretty sure Kenny wasn’t like other vampires. He was too cute and she liked him too much in her mind to see him hurting her. They had become fast friends and Logan hoped every day that he would be there to play with her. She had already told him what she was; it wasn’t fair in her head for her to know what he as but not the other way around. Logan had still yet to learn much more about Kenny but she could care less. She liked him and hoped he’d be around today.

Turing the corner into the park Logan dropped her star covered bag by the gate where she would remember it. Jumping up she fixed her bangs and looks around as she moved towards the swings. Her black combat boots crunched mulch under her feet. She was dressed today in her usual boots and leggings but instead of a skirt she wore a black dress with a large hot pink flower on the front. The back of the dress was open and for once she wasn’t wearing a beanie. Instead her hair was brushed out and loose with a cute black and pink ribbon bow clipped on the right side, leaving her bangs to cover her left eye as usual. This mean that her natural black roots could be seen spreading from the top of her head. Makeup done to match her outfit, Logan jumped up on a table and sat down on its top waiting for her friend.

Kenneth had started his day in a very amused, very hyper-like mood. Usually during the night he would 'pretend' to sleep, although not asleep he relaxed his brain and refreshed himself. If he didn't like pretending to sleep so much he probably wouldn't have a bed in his bedroom. Everyone in the house had one though in-case they had company over. It would look suspicious without one. He jumped out of his bed to run downstairs to see if anyone was in the house still. He knew he dad had to go into work early and won't be back later on but he didn't know what his brothers were up too. Ash wasn't in the house so he figured he was just up to his usual roaming self. Mason, however, was in the kitchen drinking a water bottle that was filled with blood. A smirk approached his face as he ran over to him and snatched the bottle away. He sat at the kitchen today with it. It didn't seem Mason was in the mood to wrestle because he just grabbed another bottle.

After finishing he changed his clothes. He had on black jeans that were somewhat tight and a green top with his usual flat billed hat. Kenny figured he could go to the park to see if Logan was there, which, she usually was after school. The girl was fun to be around and even better she didn't judge him. It was nice to not be judged for what he is for a change. Other than the red-eyed vampires he seemed to get looks and stares from others not like him. The shifters were the worst though! Thankfully, his family never had a reason to go into La Push. He has never met them, but in all honestly he likes his head attached.

Once Kenneth got there her scent was clear. Her scent was all over the park faded, new, and disappearing, but he could tell she was around because the scent was strong. His eyes looked over to a table to see the little blond girl sitting there. He was a little surprised she hadn't already starting playing but either way he knew that would end up swinging or in the jungle gym. Sometimes he felt way to old to be playing at the park but it was always just good fun. Besides, if there were to many kids around he would gladly give up a swing or stay clear from the other things to let them play.

"Yo!" Smirking, he jugged over to Logan, hopped on the table, and pulled her into a friendly hug. "Hi, Logan!" He grinned letting go of her. "At least you're fun to be around. My house is empty apart from Mason who has no sense of humor today..." He paused, "What are we doing today? I'm up for anything....expect those little animal things with the handles sticking out of their heads...I would just look funny on those." He laughed.

Logan turned as she heard a familiar voice shout ‘Yo!’ A grin instantly lit up her face as she saw Kenny. A light blush fluttered over her cheeks as he pulled her into a friendly hug. “Hi Kenny!” She hugged him back as she greeted him. As they let go of each other she felt the blush fade away. That she was glad of. She giggled softly happy to think that he liked to be around her and considered her fun. They were friends, she knew that much but as time was going by, for her at least she was beginning to feel more than just friendship for Kenny. Shaking those thoughts from her head she grinned at Kenny. “Well we can always swing or go for a swim. I can’t leave the park though. Not until after my birthday. Then they said I can go where ever I want as long as I’m back by 10 at night.” Her thoughts went back to what he had said about the little animal things with the handles and she couldn’t hold back her laughter as she pictured Kenny on one.

Breathing out to calm herself down she looked at Kenny with a smile before grabbing his hat off his head. She jumped up and ran off as she put his hat on her head. Logan laughed as she ran for the swings, turning once she reached them to look around for Kenny. She put one hand on top of her head holding the hat there figuring Kenny would try and get it back from her. Grinning she kept her ears alert to any sounds he might make.

Kenny laughed as she did. He knew she must have pictured him on one of the animal things. The thought of him on one gave him a very scary yet hilarious image. It was kind of like picturing Ash in a dress. “Well we can always swing or go for a swim. I can’t leave the park though. Not until after my birthday. Then they said I can go where ever I want as long as I’m back by 10 at night." He nodded lightly thinking of what would be more fun. Before he could speak though she grabbed his hat and fleed with it on her head. He shook his head laughing and ran off unseen. He was hiding behind the bushes near the swings...waiting for the right moment to come out. He was obviously in one of his playful, hyper moods. He had a plan in mind and could only hope she wouldn't be mad about it! Of course, it all depended on how much of a chilled, playful mood Logan was in determined what her reaction might be.

With a smirk he popped out behind the bushes and picked her up. "Hi!" He smirked again. Once she was good and steady in his arms he began running to toward the lake. Kenny hopped on one of the large and looked at her. "Ready?" He asked not even giving them a chance to take anything off, not even their shoes. He jumped off the rock and into the lake with her. The cooling water rushed over him and when he surfaced he waited for her to pop up.

Smiling rather largely, he swam to the shore and threw his shirt and shoes over for them to dry. Then turned around again.

Clinging to the pole of the swings Logan grinned and bit her lower lip as she looked around for Kenny. She breathed out slowly trying to see where he had disappeared to. Once she had turned around she had lost sight of him. Her eyes flicked all over the park trying to spot some sign of him, her ears were listening intently for any sound. So intently that she jumped when he popped out of the bushes from behind her. Squealing as he picked her up she laughed and clung to him as he took off running. “Where are we going!?”

[/color] She shouted happily to him. She rather liked him holding her, though that wasn’t something she would ever mention to him. Logan still felt that there was no way he would ever like her as more than a friend. She felt she was too young and childish for him.

Seeing the lake come into view she shook her head and held on tighter to him. “Ready?” He asked her. She didn’t even have time to answer him or take anything off before he jumped over the edge of the rock. The water was cool and she almost screamed with joy from it but remembered that she needed to hold her breath unlike him. As they hit the water her arms had come loose from around him and she kicked up and popped back to the surface. Brushing the water from her face and pushing her bangs to the side she looked around for Kenny. Seeing him by the edge she kicked her heavy boots over to him and sat for a moment to take them off. Shaking her head at him she grinned. “You’re just lucky I don’t have a phone yet.” She stuck her tongue out at him and jumped back into the water. Logan swam over to him and around him. She splashed him from behind and took off swimming away from him. “Can’t get meee!”[/color] She shouted at him in a sing-song voice.

Kenny snickered when she come into view to take her boots off. “You’re just lucky I don’t have a phone yet.” He laughed lightly tossing his water proof spider man watch over with his shirt. "I was looking for a reason to get a new one." He said grabbing his from his pocket to toss it over as well. His dad wouldn't be happy he ruined his phone but he wanted a new one! He could very well buy his own but his dad liked to do must of the buying. He only guessed it was a fatherly thing to do which was fine by him! He just hated having so much money of his own to do nothing with. That is, until he found a girlfriend to spoil. Which brought Logan up into his mind. He had feelings for the little leopard which would be very odd in others eyes. At least, most others. A vampire with a were' was something unique, strange, and most likely unheard of. He couldn't help himself though. She was so different from most girls and she was very playful and fun. He was never bored around her. Another problem though, was her age. She being so much younger than he would strike badly in humans eyes. Vampires, not so much considering some couple were well over fifty years apart. It was a good thing he pretended to be eighteen. Those things didn't phase him though. He didn't care. He like her for who she is not what she is or her age. It wasn't like she was a child. It wasn't any weirder than a shape-shifter imprinting on a baby.

He grinned when she stuck her tongue out at him. He splashed her back before she started swimming off. “Can’t get meee!” Kenny shook his head lightly than started swimming after her. "We'll see about that." He called catching up to her rather quickly. It wasn't that she was slow, he just had an unfair advantage. It would be the same for Logan and a human. Once caught up he grabbed her waist and pulled her to him. "Got you." He smirked poking her nose lightly with his right pointer fingers. He let go and lightly splashed her. "You know what else?" He asked with a mysterious look on his face. He pulled her into his arms again and began tickling her sides. He loved the fact he could tickle her but she couldn't return it.

When he stopped he swam about a foot away from her. He caught himself staring... Her blonde her falling down her skin gently. Her skin almost glowing in what sunlight was out. The way her eyes had a sparkle to them. She was absolutely stunning, gorgeous, and beautiful. He smiled before he looked away from her. He didn't want to look like an idiot with a staring problem. "Score three for Kenny and only one for Logan." He laughed looking back at her. "You took my hat... and I brought us into the water, caught you, and tickled you. You're falling behind." He smirked.

A squeal escaped her lips as he splashed her as she swam away. Glancing back she saw Kenny catching quickly up to her. He would always be just that little bit faster than her. Turning back she tried to escape him, knowing he would catch her. A blush rose to her cheeks as he grabbed her waist and pulled her to him. As he poked her nose she tried to bite his finger as she laughed, driving the blush from her cheeks. “You did. But you cheated.” Sticks her tongue out at him playfully again. She quirked an eyebrow as he spoke and he look that came over his face. “What?” She asked carefully watching him. She always had fun when she was with Kenny but he could surprise her sometimes.

The blush filled her cheeks again as Kenny pulled her to him again. Thoughts crossed her mind about Kenny and how much she liked him and how much she loved the feel of his fingers on her. Her thoughts lasted for all of five seconds before his fingers found her weak spots. She burst into a fit of giggles and started squirming in his arms. When he pulled away she spun around and watched him as she tried to catch her breath. The grin never left her face though.

Watching him she tilted her head slightly and pushed her bangs back behind her ear. Kenny was one of the few lucky people that got to see her full face quite a bit. Mostly because they ended up spending a lot of time swimming. Even in the cool weather and water of Washington. She was so warm she didn’t notice how cold it was and he so cold, it didn’t make a difference. Smiling back at him, she ticked off the points that he listed.

“Hmmmm…” Logan tread the water where she, was thinking about how she could get back at him. Swimming over to him she swam around him watching him and grinning. She could tickle him, or try at least. She had yet to manage to actually tickle him. Swimming around behind him she jumped on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Now I got you.” She laughed and locked her fingers together. “And I’m not letting go, no matter how hard you try and make me.” Grinning as she issued the challenge to him. And she wouldn’t let go, not unless he held her under the water and made her have let go to swim back up for air. Unlike him she did have to breath, that whole beating heart and all.
