A nice warm day was a bit shocking for Forks. It was not this warm on a day to day basis. But the people of Forks were taking advantage and wearing short shirts, tank tops and shorts. The sun was out pretty every where even in the forest. Edward had hated this. That meant he had to hide himself even in the forest. He hated the fact that he sparkled. It was so annoying. But he had to hunt. It was past his hunting date. His eyes were black. And his throat was in pain. It was hard for him to talk. But he this was why he was out today. All alone. He hated when Bella or any one else would see him like this. He was indeed more paler than usual as well.
He knew he needed to hunt. But he was not in a rush to do so. As he sat on a rock to think for a moment. He loved being alone. It eased his mind. All he could hear were the animal life around him in this forest. It was indeed a dry humid, hot day. He had on a plain dark blue t shirt and blue jeans. He was enjoying the warm weather on his skin though. It made him warmer than he was suppose to be. At some times he wished he could tan. But that would never happen. He hated being dead some times. He really wanted nothing more than to be with his parents in heaven at some times....But he thought differently than most vampire would. He thought you were indeed damned the moment you were turned and that God in heaven would reject you...You were damned for Hell. He was so in to his own thoughts he didn't know when some one was coming around. He was in his own little world at that moment...

Lissa really didn't understand. She had cried a little as she made her way through the forest. they had left her, told her to follow the scent that was like theirs but a little different. She had picked the scent up easily, but the journey was slow. She was a child, looked no more than five years old. She had to stay hidden from people so they didn't stop her. She had to get to where she was going. It was what she was told to do in the first place and she never disobeyed her elders.
Lissa wondered what her father were doing at that moment. The two vampires that had taken care of her had said that her mom wasn't alive anymore, and that her dad didn't want her. It made her sad, but she figured he had his reasons. The two vampires had been nice enough at least. But she didn't really understand why they had left her. Did they not want her anymore?
Sighing, Lissa moved on. the sun was shining, her skin slightly glowed. Since she was only half vampire her skin glowed instead of glittered. She also had a heart beat and could live on people food, which was what she had done. It hadn't seemed right to hurt people. She kept moving though, until something caught her eye. It was something sparkling through the trees. Upon closer looking, she saw it was a person, a vampire. She smiled and walked closer. "Hello?" She called out her voice soft with a bell like sound to it. Maybe this vampire could help her get to where she was going. outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=28201372

He had so much on his mind. That he was in his own world. He had a lot to think about. He liked being alone for a while. Gave him a moment to not have to worry about reading any ones mind. That was why he disappeared in to the forest. He had not had a moments peace in so long. He would always come here when he wanted to be alone. He looked down at his arms and sighed when he saw them sparkle in the sun light. As the light casted over him. He was the high up. High enough for the sun to be around. The thing with Edward was that he never really blamed Carlisle for what he did. He knew he did it because it was his mother's last wish. What mother wouldn't want to save the life of her dying son?
It was then he got the scent of another one in the area. They were close as well. He could read her thoughts plain as day. She was indeed young at that. Her voice sounded cute in her mind. "Hello?" He stood straight up the moment he was spoken to in such a kind manner. "Um, hello to yourself...." He said as nicely as he possibly could. She was a little girl. He was right. She looked to be around five or so. But there was some thing about her. She knew what he was. And she wasn't scared? It was the very first time he had ever seen some one like her kind. Her kind was indeed very rare. She was a hybird. A very cute little hybird at that. He wished he could hide his sparkle. But he was just in a regular T-Shirt. He looked up at the sweet little girl and smiled..."You know....what I am, I'm guessing...." He asked with sweet voice.

Lissa wasn't scared. Why should she be scared? sHe had been raised her whole life by vampires. She was half vampire herself. So why should she worry about another vampire hurting her or something. No she wasn't scared. Not even with the fact that she had blood and a heart beat inside of her skin. No, she was far from worried. Besides, she had faith that things would be just fine. Who would want to hurt a cute little child like her? If they wanted to then they were obviously messed up in the head or something. That or they had no heart.
Lissa watched as his skin glittered like diamonds. SHe liked shiny things. What girl didn't? She smiled and stepped foreward, closing some of the space between the two people. She smiled sweetly at him making her eyes twinkle a little bit. "You're like daddy, and the two people that took care of me." Her voice was soft and angelic, still sounding like bells. She was adorable, and not dirty at all suprisingly enough since she had walked from Port Angeles following scents alone. "You're a vampire." sHe said matter-of-factly. SHe looked adorable when she said it and her security blanket was held close to her chest. She was just the epitome of cute.

"You're like daddy, and the two people that took care of me." "You're a vampire." "And you're not scared. Good. I gotta ask, what's a cute little girl like yourself doing all the way out here?" He knew why. He had read her mind earlier. He saw the way she was in awe with his sparkling skin. He just smiled. She thought he was beautiful. That was the first thing Bella said when she saw him like this. He saw her step closer. Closing the gap between them. He stretched his arms out and let her touch them if she wanted. He knew girls likes shiny things. What girl didn't? "I won't bite. I promise." He smiled at her as he looked in her cute little eyes.
He reached out and placed a thumb on her cheek. As he smiled continually. He was feeling some thing out of the norm with her as well. Was this what they meant was attachment? If so he liked it already. He could get used to this. He read her mind and sighed in his...."So they just dropped her off in the middle of no where...Well, she will not be alone ever again...." He thought that in his own mind as he was letting her get up close and personal with him.
He faked a swallow though as he looked down at his own skin that continued on sparkling. He hated it. But, obviously she loved it. "Where are your parents sweety?" He finally asked her with his speech almost as perfect as the sun's rays shinning down own them. He hoped she would trust him enough to speak up about her parents. He wanted nothing more than to take her in and adopt her himself right now. She carried such a sweet nature that was impossible not to fall in love with.....

Melissa stared in awe at his arm as he moved it closer to her. Her hands moved to touch the sparkling skin. Her skin temperature was warmer, but not as warm as a human. Her tiny fingers slid across his cold skin as she just stared at it. "I walked. They left me in Port Angeles, told me to follow the smell of vampires." She paused and looked up to look at his face with a soft smile. "They said that the vampires could help me find a place to live." She really just wanted a family, someone to care about her. She didn't have that really. Sure she had a dad out there but he didn't want her. She wasn't sure if she would end up with this guy and his family or if they would just send her somewhere else.
Lissa like this guy. He was nice. But she would also understand if he sent her away somewhere else. It was one thing to open your home for a few days, but to take on responsibility for a child of her age that had to eat and sleep was different than some random vampire. She was a liability.
Melissa's face fell a little when he asked about her family. "Mommy died, when I was born. Daddy didn't want me. I don't remember them at all." She said with a sigh. Sinking down to the ground, she sat with her legs crossed and her security blanket hugged to her chest where her heart beat inside.

"I walked. They left me in Port Angeles, told me to follow the smell of vampires." "Mommy died, when I was born. Daddy didn't want me. I don't remember them at all."
"Hey, sweety, I'm sorry..." He bent down at her when she sulked to the ground. She was still in a lot of pain. She didn't have to tell him any thing. He knew it was bad for her. At least he knew what it felt like being alone for so long...He knew it all the moment she came up to him. He was indeed feeling sorry for her. She was alone. How could a father not want his daughter? Edward pulled hr into a hug. She needed it really. She needed some one for her....If not him then some one....He would take her in a heart beat. But there were things going on at the house things were a bit dangerous for this little girl. A new born was staying there...That was certainly out of the question. Especially with a vampire there that has a lust for human blood...
"Come on....I'm not taking you back to my house just yet...It's too dangerous. But for now we can just hang out if you are okay with that?" He put on the ground and stood up. He knew he must be extremely tall for her. But to have her with him, and having to take care of her for at least a little while would help him. He would do what ever he had to make sure she had a family to call her own. Even for now that if it was not him....He couldn't just take her to the Cullen home. He wanted to. He knew that Alice would like her. But the others were out of the question. If he had to he'd take her to Isle Esme for a while until he had to think of what to do with her.....
