ROBERT
LORANI CECILE*
*Name: Robert Lorani Cecile
*Nicknames: Robert, Lori
*Gender: Male
*Birthday: England
*Date of turn: 13 January 1562
*Age: 24 (Appearance)
*Species: Vampire
*Sexuality: Pansexual. He really doesn't care.
*Ability: As a human, Robert had always been exceptional at subtle manipulation and suggestion. It was only logical that his vampiric ability magnify and focus on this particular trait. Robert has a very high compulsion ability, enabling him to make base suggestions that settle and manifest themselves in the minds of the people he targets. When it grows enough, the people will carry out whatever 'suggestion' it is that he made, unless he decides he has no need of the person or the suggestion any more, and reverses the effect by cancelling it out with another suggestion.
*Height: 5"11
*Weight: 170
*Hair: lDark brown, though he has a tendency to dye it both blonde, brown, and a mixture of such at various intervals.
*Eyes: Before turning, his eyes were a vivid blue, but after turning they, like the eyes of any newborn, glowed red. Depending on where he is, and what he decides to eat, they may vary between red and amber.
*Tattoos/Scars: The entire left side of his lower torso is covered in brutal scars from a fight he had with a werewolf when he was two centuries old.
*General Appearance: While Robert is not overly intimidating to look at, he is not the kind of person one would normally approach. He gives off an air of both confidence and assurance, and carries himself strong, something he has failed to give up since being turned. He is not overly tall, but neither is he short, and he's built more for speed than for pure brute strength. In fact, many other vampires consider him weaker in that particular area.

*Likes: Strength in spirit and will. He also loves lizards and reptiles, and can often be found with either a snake, an iguana, or a gecko somewhere on the upper half of his body. He has a penchant for simple jewellery and horses.
*Dislikes: People who worship or follow others blindly and without cause. He cannot stand those without the will to live or stand up for themselves, and often can't stop himself from disposing of such beings whenever he can. He dislikes small mammals as well.
*Strengths: Subtle manipulation, both with and without the use of his gift. Wit. He's also very fast.
*Weaknesses: He's not as physically strong as most vampires.
*Habits/Quirks: He has a tendency to use random words from other languages, or hum/sing small tunes under his breath.
*Fears: Heights. Flying.
*Secrets: He doesn't have many. It is revealed that he had both a wife and a child, but it is unknown what happened to them.
*Overall Personality: To put it simply, Robert is the kind of smooth-talking, manipulative stranger your parental guardian warned you about when she told you to stay away from people you do not know. He is both suave and seductive when he needs to be, able to deal out lies varying in size depending on the situation at hand, and has no qualms about anything he does. He has the mannerisms of a well-bred English Gentleman, and often uses them to his complete advantage. As stated above, he really has no qualms about such a thing.
Despite this traits, however, Robert also has a very volatile temper. He is usually able to hide this, for the most part, but every now-and-then his impatience leaks through his impeccably amused-and-neutral tone, and sometimes, when dealing with too much perceived 'stupidity', he will snap. Some others of his kind think that this is why he can never chose between humans and animals for his main diet, but they are completely wrong; he simply eats when he's hungry, and anything there is subjective to his absolute lack of mercy.
He is absolutely fascinated with reptiles.

*Overall History: Born in England in the year 1540, during the last seven years of King Henry VIII’s reign, Robert was immediately immersed in a culture where, if you didn’t have wit, you wouldn’t survive. And so, growing up, he never had any really close friends or a companion, figuring it wasn’t really worth his while. Learning the ways of the court through his cunning mother Elizabeth, Robert grew up with one of the sharpest and most respected minds in the Court of England. His family wielded great influential power during the later years of the boy king, Edward VI, even though he was but a youth himself. When Edward passed on, leaving the throne to the Nine Days Queen, Robert stayed back and refused to chose a side while Mary fought for her own right to the throne. During the years of Mary I’s reign, Robert was forced to keep a resolutely low profile, especially after she had his parents imprisoned. His mother would die in the Tower, while his father would be executed as a traitor to the throne after an attempt on the Queen’s life. When he was eighteen, Mary I died, and her sister Elizabeth took the throne.
It was there that Robert, with his title restored really prospered.
He married Mary Clifford when he was twenty-two, and a year and a half later she bore him two twins, whom he named Elizabeth and Thomas. However, he was turned less than a year after that date, and when he could no longer hide the fact that he was not aging, he fled the English Court to travel abroad under false pretences. He did not return until many years had passed, and he immediately raised suspicion among those resided in the Court. Because of this, he embarked on a ship to the New World, using what riches he had left to establish a plantation and establishment in America. He still owns this establishment, and has since travelled all over the continent, never staying anywhere for lengthy amounts of time.

His surveillance was quiet. He did not speak, he did not move, he merely stood there, his eyes boring into the two young women who stood before him with a calculating contempt over which he wielded a startling mastery. Indeed, it may have even startled people to know just how twisted he could be inside, for to the Court, for all accounts and purposes, he portrayed nothing more than a friendly face - the mask of a humble adviser whose only ambition was to see the King's reign continue for as long as possible, eventually paving the way for the man who would soon because Charles XIV of England, ruler of all, servant of God and the people.
But masks were often deceiving, and Richard Moore, King's Adviser, was certainly no saint in any aspect of the world, as he so often portrayed. Indeed, if one were to draw a snake on a piece of paper, one might start to notice the rather disconcerting resemblance between reptile and man - but of course, that would require actually drawing a snake, and as a result no connection was ever made.
So Richard Moore had moved up through King James' Court, presenting the image of a kindly gentleman, a doting father, and a concerned confident to the King - his friend since childhood. And no one ever suspected a thing - not his wife, Lady Jane Moore, for whom their youngest daughter had been named; not his brother, Thomas Moore, with whom he had a longstanding rivalry; not his sister, Eleanor, whom he had never gotten to know, but who had always been close to their brother; not his two daughters, his two beautiful flowers, and not his friend, the King himself.
Of course he was used to the occasional accusation - he had earned the ire of James' queen, Anne of Scots, very early on, and he got the feeling that James' son Brandon shared his mother's apprehension towards him. But Brandon did not matter to him - the boy was far too busy engaging in the pleasures of the court, and his dogs and falconry, to pose much of a threat. Charles was under his sway, yes, but the King, once so full of vigour, was ailing due to an accident, and Richard was desperate to secure his position. He knew that, if James were to die, Anne would exert her vast influence over the King's heir, and he would fall from favour soon enough.
So he had to come up with a plan.
And that was where his daughters - Jane and Catherine, his saviours - came in.
Taken from a past roleplay because I AM LAZY. Sorry if it's not long enough.
