, just call out my name. WHEREVER I AM, I’LL COME RUNNING TO SEE YOU AGAIN. Damn it! Will someone please let me out of here?!”
Usually the vampire would not use profanity so loudly at this hour and in a place such as this, but he was quite perturbed. What made this even more obvious was that he let out a heavy sigh and a frustrated growl from behind the door of the broom cupboard. He beat against the door a few more times in hopes that someone would hear him and help him out. He had tried many times to unlock the door and to force it out of the way, but there was no avail. The door would not give in. He thought about using his vampire strength and bust it down! He couldn't, however, because he didn't feel like paying for damages.
“What the…” he said lowly and leaned his head against the door. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes, wondering whether or not he was stuck in a nightmare of some kind. When he opened his eyes to see darkness again, he let out a groan and flipped on the tiny flash light on his key ring. A light illuminated its tip and filled the small broom cupboard. He glanced around. Surrounding him was a conglomeration of things: brooms, mops, cleaning supplies.
How did he end up in that cupboard anyway? The only thing he could remember was walking down the second floor, humming as he did so. When he reached a door to which he had no idea where it went, the door suddenly swung open, and he was thrown, seemingly by force, into the broom cupboard. He had fallen upon the brooms, mops, buckets, and other supplies with an oomph and a slight gasp of pain and surprise. When he managed to stand on his feet and find the doorknob, he rubbed the back of his head and ran his fingers through his curls. Maybe he just tripped. That, or his power went psycho on him.
“Man…” he said to himself. He started to beat on the door once again. “Hello?! Is there anyone out there?! Can someone help me?! Pleeaaaase?” He let out a faint laugh at himself. He knew that he probably sounded pathetic from the inside of a closet. He had come to the hospital to visit a friend who had just given birth, and luckily he was just leaving or he might not have got to see her or the baby. At 4am in the morning, he didn't want to be stuck in here.

Ash walks into the hospital following the peculiar feeling he has about Kenny.
"I wonder what he got into this time" Ash wonders silently.
Ash sniffs the air and begins to follow Kenny's scent to a room. He strolls along at a casual pace, at ease with the feelings of his brother.
"Family is the most important of all, yet they can be the most troublesome as well." He thinks. He isn't bothered by the feeling alerting him to something being off. It's natural with Kenny being his twin. Something that had existed for him during his human days as well.
Ash steps into a hallway and hears his brother pounding on something and calling for help. He follows the sound into a nondescript room and just stands there with a grin on his face. He bursts out laughing as he realizes Kenny is stuck in a broom cupboard. Ash walks over and flips the latch off the door.
"Hey bro, learning the finer points of cleaning this morning?" Ash says as he laughs again. "Usually people know that only the cleaning supplies are put in the cupboard and the person who cleaned stays out."

, just call out my name. WHEREVER I AM, I’LL COME RUNNING TO SEE YOU AGAIN. Kenny shook his head at himself trying to figure out how the heck he ended up in this mess. He groaned lightly and put his head to the concrete wall, then gave it a kick. "AH!" He cursed lightly from the small ache in his toe. His red eyes were closed and he knocked loudly at the door hoping someone...anyone would hear. It was then he heard a noise....or thought he did. "I'm going crazy." He muttered to himself. A shiver creeped up his spine as curiosity and slight fear rose in him. Something fell over. "Holy Shhhit!" He said angrily staring the piece of wood that startled him. This was getting ridiculous and it didn't help that he hated being closed in.
Kenny let out a sigh of relief when he heard brothers voice. When the door opened he gave her a glare, although not rudely. How was it so easy for him when he couldn't even open it? He cursed it then faced Ash "As much as I like playing seven minutes in Heaven..." He started talking to him. It might have sounded like he meant he was playing Seven Minutes in Heaven with himself, but that's not what he meant. He stepped out of broom closet. "I think I'll just step out before the door decides to play tricks again." He finished his sentence with a silent sigh. He knew the door didn't cause him to fly into the closet.
At least he didn't have to stay in there all night and the fact someone found him that wasn't one of those, 'Haha you're stuck' and leave people was even better. He didn't care if Ash joked about it since he knew he must have sounded pretty stupid in there, the only thing he was thinking was how he hadn't been able to leave the cursed cupboard. "Bloody door." He cursed it again. "I don't even know how I ended up stuck in there." He gave a shrug wanting to leave. He didn't like being around so much blood. It made him feel pretty uncomfortable.

Ash watched his brother and laughed when he saw his discomfort.
"Come on Ken. Let's get out of here before the rain gets worse. I'd hate to have to clean puddles up all day when I have better things to do rather than be at home." Ash said light-heartedly. I have some time before I have to put on my serious face and get the day's business done."
Ash sniffed the air, tasting the sharp sting of cleaner and antiseptic mixed with the metallic velvet of blood. He lost train of thought for an instant as his mind was flooded with instinct and desire and rationality was pushed aside. He slashed his arm, careful to keep blood from spilling out of the wound, and welcomed the rush of pain allowing him to gain his senses back. He stared at the wound, amazed for a moment at his abilities to control water. It couldn't help on a level that Kenny's healing could, but he was able to aid that power with his own. Controlling blood as Kenny sealed the wounds, coaxing the body to heal and be whole again.
"We probably shouldn't linger much longer Ken." Ash said with a note of seriousness.
Ash stepped towards the door and pulled it open as he looked back at Kenny, waiting for whatever came next.
"You waste too much time worrying Kenny. It drains the value out of life when you let your thoughts consume you and forget to enjoy the world you are in. Put some attention to the thrill of life and bother with the shadows you have at a later time. Life isn't exactly limited for us after all." Ash said with a measure of camaraderie.

, just call out my name. WHEREVER I AM, I’LL COME RUNNING TO SEE YOU AGAIN. Kenneth took his long piano-like fingers through the curly mess upon his head and nodded in agreement to get out. He wasn't necessarily in the mood to be serious. He much rather go have some fun then stay in a place where blood could be freed at any given time. He watched quietly as Ash slash his arm. He knew Ash had done so to keep his mind off the lovely smell that was often so hard to avoid.
He hovered his hand over the cut after a few moment of watching Ash keep the contents inside. Focusing his energy from Ash's wound to his palm, he slowly healed it shut.
"Sometimes worry can be a good thing." He responded simply. "At least with worry my head is clear enough to not go on a rampage. I won't let the craving consume me this way." The word rampage would be enough for Ash to know he meant killing every person who come in sight. He still hasn't forgiven himself for all the murders he had committed before the family was turned. It reality, their father had remarkable control for being around blood all the time. Renatos' work made it hard to avoid it.
"Let's go." He said patting his twins arm twice and started walking down the hall. "What shall we do? I had planned on recording but a nice swim could be just as fun." Recording they both enjoyed. Music freaks as a family and he knew very well Ash enjoyed the water. It was obvious with how often he seemed to use his power.
As he walked, he shoved his hands into his pockets not breathing. Kenny moved his chest up and back down a few times in case humans would be watching.

Ash followed his brother through the hospital, holding his breath to avoid the lingering velvet wisps of desire that would call to him like sirens. A scent so sweet to his nose that he had yet to master the impulse to quench his desire in its reddened depths. He focused on his sense of water and found that it had begun to rain outside.
"It seems we didn't avoid the rain after all Kenny." Ash said with a hint of a smile. "Guess it's good we already planned to get a little wet." Ash let a smile take hold of his features, his eyes twinkling with mirth.
Ash lightened his step and sped up, becoming a shadow among the beating hearts. He let a laugh ghost into the air, tickling that higher sense of awareness to those few, sensitive souls. He could feel that wingless elation making him lighter, happier. His eyes took on a suttle glow as he looked back to his twin, his brother who thought he had cursed him. Ash wondered how Kenny ever handled the weight he carried, refusing to fall into the natural ways of joy. This world changed constantly and Ash still felt like he was a part of that change. It simply wasn't obvious to the eyes, but he could feel that indistinguishable spark that gave him life. Yes, he was a child of this world still and his faith could not be shaken from that.
"Come on Kenny, enjoy the moment for a change." Ash whispered with humor, a small buzz of sound to any ears but a vampire's.
With that Ash dashed outside into the rainfall, no doubt in his thoughts that his brother would follow in his step.He danced among the drops, manipulating them into a pattern that reflected the ghostly light of the day so that the eye saw what appeared to be rain dancing with a form. A moment of magic that would captivate the heart and cause the soul to answer that deep, shuddering call that felt ancient, timeless, and wholly right. The day was coated in scents of greenery, rain, earth, and the other multitudes lingering in an urban area. Ash laughed again, soaring into the woods towards the ocean. The canopy hushed the sound of rain, making it a whispering melody as a breeze danced among the leaves and needles of the forest. The earth singing and changing of its own accord.
"Let's see who reaches the ocean first Kenny!" Ash hooted as his stride lengthened and his passing became that of a ghost leaving only a breeze to tell of its presence.
