Babysitting (Grace)

[BELLA SWAN]

Bella felt the truck drive over pieces of land with small shakes. It was March time and the weather in Forks had been surprising nice. She tapped her thumb against the driving wheel as she drove wondering if Grace Hale was like all the things she had been told. She was off to babysit the little child for Rosalie and though Bella had heard a great deal from Edward and Rosalie she never had actually met the little kid. Bella had often babysat for others when in Phoenix and this wasn't going to be the first. She found Babysitting very easy and she found that most Children loved her from the moment they saw her. But Grace was different from others. 

Unlike most, Bella had heard that Grace was a hybrid. A cross between human and a vampire. Just like Ginny she looked like a normal person but really like vampires she drank blood. It was very worrying for Bella to find out about these creatures. How long have they been around and how come she never heard of them? Bella wasn't at all scared in meeting Grace, in fact she couldn't wait to meet the bundle of fun that everyone kept saying was the cutest thing on earth! 

Bella bought the truck to a stop to where Rosalie and Emmett lived. She jumped out and slammed the door heading up to Rosalie's front door. Bella  bit her bottom lip as she knocked on the front door. Her hands shakes as she did this with no idea why. It could be because she was worried at what Grace may think of her, Bella hated it when children dislike her but then children always have a reason why.
"Rosalie? It's Bella! I'm here to babysit Grace?" She called hoping Rosalie hadn't forgotten the whole Babysitting.

Grace had been sitting on the couch for a while watching a show called Spongebob. It was doing wonders with helping her English. She didn't know it well yet but her vampire intelligence side made it so much more easier to learn a second language. She knew better than to leave the house or answer the door unless it was Bella. She was told Bella would be her babysitter; also told that she's human and to not bite her. The thought of human blood made her frown now. She couldn't have human blood anymore and animals blood was just gross to her.

She giggled as the show ended; another come on called the Fairly Odd Parents. "Rosalie? It's Bella! I'm here to babysit Grace?" Her ears perked listening to the womans voice. Her face lit with excitement to finally meet her baby sitter. The little hybrid had the feeling she might see Bella more often since she knows her family.

"I COMING!" She shouted forgetting to add the 'm "I MEAN I'M!" She corrected her English hoping off the couch. She ran straight to the door to try and open it. It didn't open... It wasn't known to her that the door was simply locked. She didn't even check to see if it were locked. Instead she ripped the handle off so the door opened. "Oops." She giggled looking up at a skinny girl with brown hair. "It wouldn't open! So I had to do something." She smiled widely throwing the door knob behind her. It landed on the floor and rolled behind a hutch. "I'm Grace! Mommy said I couldn't open the door unless it was you. Do you like Fairly Odd Parents? 'Cause it's on right now...." She paused a moment to think. "Oh yeah, Mommy said I couldn't bite you. I won't bite you. I promise." She shook her head quickly before running back to the couch and hopping up. She waited for Bella to come sit with her.

[BELLA SWAN]

Bella didn't have to wait long before a voice shouted at her that someone was coming. She could tell from the voice style that it belong to a young child and with a guess Bella decided it was Grace. She suppose Rosaile had left the child alone for a bit telling her not to open the door unless it was Bella.

There was a few bangs and clacks behind the door and Bella bit her lip hoping that Grace was OK.
"Grace? Are you O-" Bella began but stopped as the door swung open showing a small child who looked around four. In her hands she held the door's door knob. Bella felt a wave of Surprise run through her. She knew the child was half vampire but she never thought that Grace could pull the door knob off the door.
"Um. Hi, you must be Grace right? I'm Bella." She said giving the child a grin. "I'll place that on the side so then Em- I mean your Daddy can fix it."
Bella found it weird calling Emmett a daddy and she had slipped up slightly when meationing him. Bella knew that children found it hard to get to grips with their parents real name and so Bella was keeping it to 'Daddy' and 'Mommy'.

Bella tried to place a finger on what Fairly Odd Parents was. She was sure she had heard of it before when she was hanging around with Jake. He often kept the TV on when she went round.
Her mind finally place a finger on the show with a boy who have fairy god parents. "Yes, I've seen that once or twice." Bella said smiling at the girl. She was just so cute!
Bella laughed as Grace told her she wasn't allowed to drink from her. Bella unlike most wasn't scared, she knew the child would behave herself. "Well, that makes me feel so much better, sweetie."

Bella entered the house into the living room where she found the TV on and toys on the floor. She turned and smiled at Grace. "Soo, got any games in mind?"

"I'll place that on the side so then Em- I mean your Daddy can fix it." Grace heard her but only nodded. She was always breaking things whether it was on accident or not. After being in such a terrible place and treated like a lab animal she hadn't got a grasp on manners or what was okay and what wasn't. At least not in the real world. She knew what was allowed and not in the lab though. Thankfully, the little hybrid would never have to worry about that again. Rose has taken care of all the scientists holding her before the Volturi could...

She watched the TV for a moment before she heard Bella speak. "Well, that makes me feel so much better, sweetie." She gave a small giggle looking over. "Okay! Mommy says I can't have human blood anymore. I hate animal. It's very gross." She said matter of factly. "I guess I'll get used to it. Jasper agrees with me though. At least, I think he does..." Grace shrugged lightly putting her small hands on lap. "Games? I love games. Uhm.... how about tag! Oh no never mind.... That's not a fair 'cause I am faster than humans... Hide and go Seek! Wait no..." She paused. "That's not fair either because I can sniff you out... Playing with humans is hard." She pouted lightly then gave a huge smile. "We can dance! I have lots of music."

She got off the couch and rushed over to the stereo system.... She looked at it for a moment then shook her head. "No, I don't want to dance.... Can we go out side and make a town out of sticks?" She asked turning to face Bella. "After we're done we can pretend we're giants and smash everything!" Grace threw her hands up at the word smash and gave a little jump acting as if she was stepping on something. She giggled lightly running to the door." Can we?"

Bella didn't mind that Grace had broken the door knob. She could tell things must be hard with such strength, Bella broke everything and she was just a human! Rosalie had told Bella a little about Grace's past and had both agreed to not bring it up around the child. Bella felt for Grace, she was so little when she was treated like a lab pet. Poking things into her and not at all caring if the girl had died. Bella couldn't believe how cold and heartless people could be. 

Bella smiled as Grace told her how she found Animal blood icky. Though Bella isn't a vampire she could guess what Grace meant- just think of having fruit instead of cake? That would drive Bella mad.
"You'll get better at it." Bella said smiling. 
She listened as the games were listed and in each one Bella could see it ending  badly for her. 
Tag- I can't run or I'll fall and break something. 
Hide and Seek- I can never find the right hiding place...

Bella's heart missed a beat as Grace suggested dancing as a game. Bella could not dance. It wasn't in her blood just like her father. She was more of a sit back and listen type not let's get up and dance!!! But as Grace gave a huge smile Bella couldn't find herself to say no.
"Dancing? Mkay. But I really can't dance."

Bella laughed as Grace Pretended to Destroy something by jumping up and down. She felt her heart jump as she found out they weren't going to do dancing.
"Oo. Yes that sound like fun." Bella said clapping her hands. "Lead the way."

Grace's smile only grew bigger when Bella agreed to playing Town. She loved playing all sorts of games as long as it involved moving around. She knew a lot of things she could do a human couldn't so she tried making it fair for Bella. Not much could go wrong with building a town out of sticks then kicking them to the ground, after all. "Yay!" She jumped up twice clapping her hands then headed straight out the door.

The weather wasn't to bad. It wasn't raining yet and the sun had been poking out behind the dark clouds. The best part, it wasn't cold. Grace couldn't get cold easily so forgetting her coat wouldn't be a problem. She hoped Bella wouldn't make her wear one.

"Okay, we have to get sticks first! And put them all in a pile somewhere..." Grace said looking around. "After that we can build and destroy." She grinned widely then took off into the woods. Bella would be able to see where she went, however, she would look like a blur. She wasn't used to having to be slower. Rosalie had told her when she's around humans to be slower at walking, running, talking, and generally at everything. She found that hard and boring. Bella didn't count right? She didn't think so.

Within a few minutes she had her arms full of different sized sticks and twigs. She come back swiftly to the house and laid all the wood down into a pile then ran back to get a little more. There was plenty already but she wanted to be sure! The bigger the town the more she would be able to smash down.

She returned with yet another arms full of them. "I want to build a McDonalds. You can build...uhm...the uhm...cop thing. What's it called?" She paused and racked her English words but couldn't come up with the correct word. "The gun and tazor people." She finally said giving up. She sat on the ground putting the sticks together in the form of a small McDonalds. "I'm going to make the McDonalds a play ground too." She giggled.
