He tends to wear a black suit, tie, and shoes. Otherwise he keeps himself clean to maintain his image as leader. Like most Volturi he wears a chain around his neck with the coven crest upon it. He rarely dresses up differently usually keeping the same imposing style of black on black.

*Overall Personality: If Aro could be described in one word it might be insane. However one could expect such when you've lived for so long. For the leader of the Volturi Aro is rather cheery and at ease in most situations. In addition he has a childish fascination with Vampires with special abilities and tries to coerce many of them to join his coven even after they have refused. He does this many times with Edward and Alice however he does not force them for fear of losing his friendship with Carlisle.

Underneath his cheery outlook Aro is truly power hungry. He is master of the Volturi and goes to great lengths to securing this power, including killing his own sister so prevent Marcus from leaving. Its a mystery if he truly loves his wife, his surprise and envy for Bella and Edwards relationship seem to indicate that love is something he doesn't have in his life.

Aro truly believes that the Volturi act for the betterment of the whole vampire community. And while the do abuse their power he will do anything to protect it. In recent years Aro has been getting steadily worried with humanities progress, what he fears is them discovering about the supernatural world and knows that if a war breaks out there is a good chance that the Vampires will lose.

*Overall History: Born in around 1300 BC Aro spent his childhood like the other tribe members in central Italy. At this time Italy had not united into what would become the larger Roman Empire and were rather barbaric when compared to the other civilizations that ruled the world. One day when hunting he came across a rogue vampire and was attacked, his body almost completely drained however through sheer stuborness managed to endure near death and be turned.

His new life invigorated the young man, and he soon found out about his gift and was fascinated by it. For a couple years he traveled the world finding others of his kind and eventually learning of a ruling coven situated in Romania. He found their style of ruling rather weak however, not bothering to conceal themselves from the general population. Aro knew that it was only a matter of time before the humans grew wise and revolted. And while they may not succeed destroying the species that was a source of food and creation for more of their kind was not wise.

After ten years Aro returned to his home tribe, his curiosity of other gifts made him wonder if maybe his only remaining family member might also be gifted. Sneaking into the tribe camp late at night he turned his sister, his beliefs were right and Didyme was gifted, however it was not one as useful as his and was disappointing. From this point onward Aro began to gather other vampires gifted like he was and those who shared his beliefs. After years of planning and preparation the Newly formed Volturi coven, named after the tribe that he was born from, staged a coup overthrowing the Romanian coven and assuming their place as rulers of the vampire world.

The new coven instilled a new set of rules over the supernatural world to try and protect the two worlds from colliding violently. As head of the coven Aro guided and ensured that humanity never learned of their kind. In recent years he has begun to become worried over the leaps and bounds the humans have made in weapons and technology, even now weapons exist that are capable of killing a vampire. What is needed is a cataclysm to occur, to restore the humans back to the stone age where they are easier to handle.

It was a cloud day, just the type Aro liked, not too cold or warm but enough to prevent him from sparkling like a small sun. As he walked through the gardens he smiled.

"What a lovely day, don't you agree?" He asked looking at the man the guard had dragged with them. He was a human, one of those remarkable few that showed any potential. Aro had found im in the slums of India. The man simply shrugged unimpressed. His grasp of english was limited and Aro knew nothing of his language. That would have to be remedied. For now they were forced to use a translator.

" Have you thought about my offer then?" bending down he picked a small flower from among the rest and gazed at it with a small smile. The man would join them, one way or another. Look up for a moment he saw Chelsea moving amongst the other guard members, Aro preffered that a potential member joined of their own accord but if needed he would make her use her gift to force him to join. There were only two that had refused him in the past and had not joined. Edward and Alice Cullen, and this was only thanks to the fact that Aro didn't want to harm his friendship with Carlisle.

Looking at the man he saw him nod in agreement. Good, that saved him from making allot of trouble, walking over with a smile he loomed over the now kneeling man, it wasn't often that he turned a new member to the guard, Jan and Alec had been the last ones to get that honor...
